April 23: Shakespeare’s Day
On this day, the world celebrates the life of William Shakespeare, a renowned poet and playwright. Although Shakespeare’s exact birthdate is unknown, many estimate that his birthday was April 23, 1564. Historical records indicate that Shakespeare was baptized on April 26, 1564 and died on April 23, 1616.
William Shakespeare changed the literary world through his famous plays and poems. These include the classic works Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, and his collection of 154 sonnets.

This is epic news! Especially for any Shakespeare fans, theatre geeks, or literature nerds. Or maybe those are just the reasons I’m freaking out. I guess history buffs would see this as big news, too.
