About three things I was absolutely positive. First, I had a pokemon. Second, there was a part of me - and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be - that wanted to be the very best, like no one ever was. Third, Gary Oak was unconditionally and irrevocably a douchenozzle.
I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon. My friends at Martel claim this occurred because I’m a white girl, but I beg to differ. I know many people who are white girls and avid Pokemon fans (or were when they were about 8). I believe I missed the hype because I moved cities in the middle of it and therefore never got the “education” or “induction” into the Pokemon universe like everyone else.
Anyways, our college night theme is Pokemon, so I’ve had to learn a little about them this week. Thankfully this is a joke, although I must say as an outsider to the Pokemon hysteria, I think they can be just as crazy as Twilight fans. And even worse … they have a theme song …
