Faulkner was a postmaster, Kafka an insurance agent, Brontë a governess. The day jobs of famous authors.
Not my favorite cummings poem, but it has a nice rhythm.

Good time to start my Doctor Who fandom? I think so.

Such an odd character. I love him.

How are y’all feeling about this? Gatsby, DiCaprio, Mulligan, Luhrmann? Let’s hear it.
I’m not sure what I think about this yet. For one, I believe I’m going to have to suspend all comparisons to the original novel. Like Bunuel’s Spanish adaptation of Wuthering Heights set in Mexico, I believe this movie will be in the spirit of Fitzgerald’s great work rather than following it to the letter.
I’ve never been a fan to Macguire in this movie. Nick is one of my favorite characters. I relate to his position as an outsider looking in and I don’t think Tobey can do the job. And I think it’s ridiculous that they are doing this in 3D. It’s going to cost more and I don’t know that it’ll add anything to the experience.
But, I will still shell out the money and journey back to the Roaring 20’s for Christmas 2012.
